The oil heiress owned this house. She is a daughter of Sir Paul Getty and a granddaughter of J. Paul Getty, who was at one point in his life ranked the richest private citizen in the world.
The compound is modeled after traditional Japanese design, with a pavilion and separate tea house, a bonsai garden, and building materials that include bamboo, red oak, and Osaka tile.
Getty bought the house in 2011 for $10.675M but sold it just one year later at a loss. The property is currently owned by real estate investor John Iloulian.
