On display inside the Sports World Specialties store. This style of jersey was used by the Pittsburgh Penguins from January 1996 - October 2002.
Lemieux's Hall of Fame career was shortened from battling Hodgkin's lymphoma, chronic back problems, and an irregular heartbeat. He played his entire pro career (1984-94, 95-97, 2000-06) with Pittsburgh. In 1999, he (along with billionaire Ron Burkle) purchased the Penguins franchise.
